In order to be a successful model, a lift truck needs to be powerful enough to last in all working conditions for many hours of use. It must be able to move loads efficiently and quickly as well. The machine should be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator as well.
Yale's powertrain is both rugged and dependable. The powertrain requires the power to always provide great strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs along with strong gears and extremely tough shafts. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated so as to decrease vibration and noise inside the compartment of the operator.
Mazda and GM LP & Gas Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which requires minimum adjustment or repair. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Inside the Yanmar and Cummins diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers excellent torque. Incredible fuel consumption is provided by efficient fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most equipment. It features gears which are 15% stronger and shafts which provide resistance when driving on rough environment. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Lastly, there is electronic inching available which adjusts automatically in order to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
The Techtronix Transmission utilizes computer-controlled power reversal to extend the life of the tires, to eliminate shock loading and increase durability. Moreover, the auto deceleration feature lessens brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Made for extra durability, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This particular component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
To protect the steer cylinder for debris and damage, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that could add more stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist front to back and side-to-side forces. Moreover, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included lots of safety features and ergonomic features. These types of machines will handle tough settings, while keeping the operator comfortable and safe for the duration of their shift.
