Use a Pneumatic Forklift
You could often find pneumatic forklifts in warehouses and shipping operations. Also referred to as pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are used in order to transport materials and products around on wooden pallets utilizing metal forks which are mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump which could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
Pallet trucks should be operated carefully to avoid loss of control while raising heavy loads. Machine should be checked prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle can smoothly turn. The pallet should be stacked carefully in order to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level located on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks must be at the center in order to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop gradually, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
