Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices like back-up alarms or motion alarms produce sound which has to be loud enough to be heard above the sound that the forklift creates in the operating place.
The sound has to be readily distinguishable from other audible devices or sounds in the work setting. Sound must be readily discernible from other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could occasionally get disabled from employees and operators because they can find them annoying. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help prevent injuries and reduce other concerns. In addition, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. Noise levels are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator could choose the performance need for the particular application. Also, it enables a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just learning. Being able to reduce and adjust the unit's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the equipment's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These specific mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
