Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklifts offer height and versatility. These models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is known as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual using it to raise the load to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Standard lift trucks could not move the load away from and towards the forklift cab, whereas a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments known as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed specially to lift personnel. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
